DHL KID’S DAY “EVERY CHILD DESERVES A SMILE” IN VINNYTSIA

On August 30 and 31, 2023, charity events were held in Vinnytsia for children from internally displaced and low-income families who were forced to leave their place of residence due to the large-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.

The organizers of the event, the international company DHL Express Europe, DHL Express Ukraine, the NPO supporting IDP in Ukraine, the PO Ukrainian Marketing Association, and the Vinnytsia Institute of Trade and Economics of the State University of Trade and Economics, aimed to support internally displaced children who left their homes due to active hostilities in their regions and moved with their families to Vinnytsia and Vinnytsia region.  ...

Strategic session of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee: developing new of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee tools for war and post-war periods

26-28 July 2023 took place Strategic session of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee: developing new of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee tools for war and post-war periods” , organized by Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee in partnership with FES-Ukraine.
Heads of regional representative offices of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee, representatives of State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection ( SSUFSCP), advertisement industry professionals and lawyers took part in the event.
During these 3 days participants had possibilities
 To present results of activities of their regional representative offices
 To exchange experience and techniques for resistance of appearing of discriminatory content in advertising
 Get to know changes in current legislation in the field of advertisement
 To study using sexist content in social advertisement and in volunteer unions communications
 To develop head lines in civil society organizations communications
 To discuss expert conclusions of Industrial Gender Advertisement Committee taking into consideration changes of Ukrainian legislation in the field of advertisement.

Analysis of trends of changing advertisement content because of full-scale war start was key topic of discussion during the Strategic session. Key thematic and structural changes in advertisement plots were identified and analyzed, range of the today most active advertisers was determined, possible algorithms for further fruitful cooperation were developed.

Final forum “Dual education for Ukraine: project results and partners next steps”

More than 120 participants took part in the Final forum “Dual education for Ukraine: project results and partners next steps” which took place 23rd of June 2023 within the framework of the project “Dual education for Ukraine” that is implemented in the partnership with civil society organization “Ukrainian Marketing Association” and USAID project “Economic support for Ukraine”.

Goal of the Forum was to sum up results of the project “Dual education for Ukraine” (DUAL-O: UKRAINE). Moreover, participants presented their achievements and identified future objectives, developed plans about further development of dual form of education in Ukraine.

During the Forum main project products were presented:
 Info graphs about dual form of education, which shortly visually present dual form of education and necessary steps for its implementation for students, educational institutions and enterprises
 Analytical report of Research of dual form of education potential for educational institutions that had to move to other cities because of russian aggression
 Methodical recommendations for dual form of education implementation
 Tools for dual form of education implementation for educational institutions, companies and students
 Serie of videos about dual form of education. During the Forum video “Dual education – how to start” was first time officially presented.
During the year of project implementation more than 1000 people took part in round table meetings, online consultancies, student clubs, forums and other events. Teachers and administrators of education institutions, representatives of state bodies, students and employers were among the project participants.

State agency “SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL CENTER OF HIGHER AND PROFESSIONAL HIGHER EDUCATION” and “THE FEDERATION OF EMPLOYERS OF UKRAINE” are project partners.

Final forum participants discussed modern achievements and problems for dual form of education implementation in Ukraine, identified main directions for further common work.

The work of the Industrial Gender Committee on Advertising is included into the Council of Europe report on combating sexism in advertising.

The 27th of May is declared International Marketing Day

The European Marketing Confederation (EMC) has unanimously decided to designate the 27th of May as the International Day of Marketing. The day aims to highlight the importance of marketing in business and society and to promote pride in the marketing profession. The day is a celebration of marketing in a loud and bright way, welcoming members of the marketing community, colleagues, and partners around the world.

"The evolution of marketing around the world has been an impressive journey, with many changes. Marketers have helped many new organizations to emerge and enabled change in old companies with centuries of history. They have changed societal attitudes and helped people to communicate and find compromises. Today, in the context of digital transformation, we can explore our environment more than ever, analyze consumer and customer needs in real-time, and build relationships, the importance of marketing people is paramount. Let's recognize and appreciate this as we celebrate marketing on 27th of May", says Ralf Strauss, Chairman of the Board of EMC.

UMA presentation at the Masters of Marketing conference

The President of the Ukrainian Marketing Association Iryna Lylyk and a co-founder of the Industrial Gender Committee on Advertising Elena Davlikanova spoke at the Masters of Marketing conference held by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), on October 24-28 in Orlando. This is ANA’s signature conference that regularly draws attendees and press from throughout the U.S. and Europe.

This year the central theme of the event was “Be a Force for Growth and a Force for Good”. Thus, the topic of Russia's war against Ukraine could not have been omitted. Global companies were reminded why it is impossible to go back to business with RF as usual, that they should not become sponsors of genocide of Ukrainians, that they can make a change in the times when the choice between what is easy and what is right defines the fate of the whole world.

Thanks ANA for support Ukrainian Students

Seven motivated and talented Marketing students from Alfred Nobel University, Angelina Prokhorovych, Sonya Shanya, Anastasia Primas, Yana Ploskina, Vira Morenets, Katherine Kolesnik, and Daria Karapovska, took part in the MADE mentorship program developed by the ANA Educational Foundation in summer of 2022. Assistance in contacts with ANA Educational Foundation was provided by the Ukrainian Marketing Association.
For three months, students worked with experienced mentors - professionals in the field of business, marketing, branding and strategies, who hold leading positions in US national and global companies.  ...
